Donald Edwin Snyder, age 82, passed away unexpectedly June 24, 2008, at Mercy Hospital.

Donald was born September 21, 1925, in Canton, Ohio and served his country during World War II in the United States Navy.

Donald married Martha Seibert in 1947 and worked for many years as an engineer for General Motors. They have been Council Bluffs residents for one year.

Survivors include his wife Martha; sons, Dr. Jeff Snyder and his wife Cheri all of Council Bluffs, Michael Snyder and his wife Jan of Littleton, Colo.; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild; brother, Robert Snyder and his wife Reba of Dover, Ohio.

Memorial service, Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with Rev. Chris St. Clair, Associate Pastor of Broadway Methodist Church officiating. Donald's military service will be honored by the American Legion Post 2.

The Snyder family has suggested memorials to Mercy Hospital.
