Robert William Skow, son of William and Mabel Richardson Skow was born, Oct. 16, 1913, in Omaha, Neb. He departed this life, Monday, Feb. 4, 2008, in Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Mo., at the age of ninety-four years, three months and nineteen days.

He was united in marriage to Mary Louis Baskett and together they shared many happy years until her passing on Jan. 14, 1987.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold Skow and Richard Skow.

Survivors include special friends, Mike and Candy James, Tyler, Jonathan and Sarah James and Eunice Webster all of Macks Creek, Mo.; two brothers, Don Skow and Leonard Skow; four sisters, Marie Helm, June Hughes, Catherine Shannon and Connie Riddle; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Bob enlisted in the United States Army and served his country proudly in World War II and the Korean War. The military became his career where he served as a mess hall supervisor and retired after 24 years of service. After he and his wife retired to the lake area, he worked as a house painter.

Bob was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He touched many lives and left many wonderful memories for this family and friends to treasure.

Graveside funeral services with military honors and burial will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, in Allee Memorial Gradens in Camdenton.

Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Thursday in Allee-Holman Howe Funeral Home.
