Arather M. Broadus

Arather M. Broadus, 71, of Council Bluffs died Jan. 15 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

He was born Oct. 8, 1931, in Battle Creek, Mich., to Arthur and Marie (Curt) Broadus. He lived in Council Bluffs for 16 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver for R&M Enterprises in Gretna, Neb. He drove trucks since 1947. He retired in 1998.

Mr. Broadus and his wife, Victoria (Brigham), were married two years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Ethel Jackson of Omaha and Donna Jackson of Council Bluffs; five sons, Charles Jackson of Council Bluffs, Larry, Tommy, Bobby and Arthur Broadus, all of Battle Creek; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to the family.
