Everett Kahl

The funeral for Everett Kahl, 86, of Council Bluffs will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Knutson Funeral Chapel in Walnut with the Rev. Doris Ruben officiating.

Mr. Kahl died Jan. 12 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

He was born in Lincoln Township in Pottawattamie County. He graduated in 1934 from Walnut High School. He farmed for 25 years and also worked for Omaha Stock Yards.

Mr. Kahl and his wife, Leah, were married 60 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter, Treva Kahl, of Bay Point, Calif.; one son, Barry Kahl, and wife, Carol, of Dade City, Fla.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

There will be no special visitation. Burial will be in Walnut Cemetery in Walnut.
