In Memory: Louise Voss

Louise Voss, 78, of Hancock died December 18 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

She was a 1941 graduate of Macedonia High School. She was a Homemaker. She was a member of Hancock Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Voss and her husband, Donavon, were married 59 years. Survivors in addition to her husband include one daughter, Ann L. Vandivort and husband, Mark, of Underwood; nine sons, Donavon H. Jr. and wife, Donna, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Richard E. and wife, Bettie, of Antioch, California, Robert A. and wife, Diane, of Ashland, Nebraska, Gary L. and wife, Sue, of Lincoln, Nebraska, John F. and wife, Vicki, of Omaha, Nebraska, David J. and wife, Theresa, of Dahlonaga, Georgia, Joseph L. and wife, Suzanna, of Norwalk, Paul D. and wife, Lori, of Council Bluffs and Roger M. and wife, Diane, of Roanoke, Virginia; one sister, Frances Hooker, of Grand Island, Nebraska; two brothers, Martin Herbert and wife, Beverly, and Leo Herbert and wife, Alice , all of Council Bluffs.

Visitation with the family was held Friday evening with a wake service with the Rev. John Frost officiating at Knutson Funeral Home in Avoca. The Funeral was held Saturday at 10:30 A. M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Avoca with the Rev. Frost officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Hancock.
