The following obituary is copied from the Council Bluffs, Iowa Nonpariel dated Tues., September 12, 1995:

Daniel Crawford Hunter, 70, of Council Bluffs died Sept. 11 at his home.

He was born in Omaha and served in the U. S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Lavonne; three sons, Steven D. Hunter of Garland, Texas, Keith A. Hunter of Oklahoma City and Mark A. Hunter of Arlington, Neb.; a stepdaughter, Gloria J. Snyder, of Panora; a stepson, Wayne P. Grulke, of Marne; a sister, Mary Ann Svejda, of Modale; 14 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at McCurdy Funeral Home, with the Rev. Marvin Arnpreister officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
