Leonard R. Watson Jr.

The funeral for Leonard R. Watson Jr., 56, of Kuna, Idaho, was held Dec. 20 in Boise, Idaho.

Mr. Watson died Dec. 14, 2002.

He was born Sept. 19, 1946, in Council Bluffs to Leonard R. and Rachel (Ulmer) Watson. He was a resident of Council Bluffs until moving to Idaho in 1983. He served in the U.S. Navy, was an auto mechanic for many years and in 1990 he began working for the Idaho Department of Corrections as a corrections officer.

He and his wife, Pam (Newland), were married 34 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Sr., and sister, Mary Jane Crable.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Steven and wife, Carol, of Kuna and Lonnie and wife, Kristy, of Boise; his mother, Rachel, of Council Bluffs; four sisters, Barbara Camp of North Vernon, Ind., Martha Reigle of Council Bluffs, Nancy Cox of Thurman and Bonnie Williams of Boise; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
