Carol C. Strange Boyd, age 61, of Council Bluffs, passed away March 20, 2008, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Carol was born May 21, 1946, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to the late Charles E. and Irene (Pike) Wiggins. She graduated from Shenandoah High School in 1964. Carol worked in security and as a bartender at Bluffs Run Casino. She was a member of the D.O.E.S at the Elks Lodge #531 and loved to golf with friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry and Larry Wiggins.

She is survived by her husband of 6 years, James E. Boyd; stepdaughters, Deborah Richardson (Jeff Carlson), Patricia Boyd (Ed Sulley), Jody Brunow (Dennis Gillette), all of Council Bluffs; 4 step grandchildren; 1 step great granddaughter.

Memorial visitation, Monday, 6 to 7 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The family will direct memorials.
