Emma Shockey, age 85, passed away March 14, 2008, in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

She was born in Woodbine, Iowa, on September 23, 1922, to Lee and Elizabeth Knauss. Emma graduated from Oakland High in 1941 and received her Bachelors degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va. Emma worked as a Communication Specialist at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Emma is a member of Queen of Apostles Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Homer, in 1967; her sister, Betty Hendrix; and her parents.

Survivors include her nephews, Ed, Dave, Brian and Chester Hendrix.

Visitation with the family Monday, 6-8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services Tuesday, 9 a.m., also at the Funeral Home. Father Dan Kirby officiant.

Interment Woodbine Iowa Cemetery.
