Ethan M. Grimm, age 14, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday March 15, 2008, after a courageous 9 year battle with cancer.

Ethan was born in Omaha on December 30, 1993 to Tracy and Marcy (Miller) Grimm. Ethan was a seventh grade student at St. Albert.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert J. Miller.

Ethan leaves behind his loving family, parents, Tracy and Marcy; sister, Asia all of Council Bluffs; grandmother, Mary Jane Miller of Omaha; grandparents, Howard and Dolores Grimm; aunt, Shelia Gaube; uncle, Todd Grimm and wife Tammy all of Council Bluffs; aunt, Michelle Miller of Omaha; uncles, Mark Miller of Chicago, Michael Miller of Sacramento, Calif.; cousins, Josh Gaube, Ashley Grimm, Tasha Grimm, Nate Grimm, Adam Paterson, Andrea Paterson, Haley, Giovanni, Kelli and Emily Miller; and a world of wonderful loving friends.

Ethan's life will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for his Iowa Hawkeyes and his St. Albert Falcons; his dog; Harley, and his cat, Zinc. Ethan loved playing baseball, basketball, bowling, and living a normal fun filled life with his family and friends. Ethan's glowing personality and determination for life made it easy to receive an out pouring of support from his St. Albert, St. Patrick, and Council Bluffs Community families for the past nine years.

We will celebrate Ethan's life on Tuesday, with visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m., followed by a Christian Wake service at 7:00 p.m. all at Queen Of The Apostles Church. Mass Of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Albert High School. Father David Fleming, Pastor, St. Patrick's Church Celebrant. A balloon release will follow the service outside the gymnasium.

Cortege will leave for Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family will direct memorials to Make A Wish, Curesearch, Camp Courage, Hope and Love (COHOLO) and Childrens Miracle Network. Eternal rest granted to Ethan O Lord and may perpetual light shine upon him.
