In Memory: Edna McBride

Edna (Tiarks) McBride, 93, of Glendale, California, died January 23.

She was born March 21, 1910 in rural Council Bluffs to Anton and Louisa (Torneten) Tiarks. She was a 1928 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and moved to Glendale in 1943. She was married to Roy A. McBride of Council Bluffs in 1944.

Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her husband in 1991; her parents; a brother, Henry J. Tiarks; and sisters, Marie Howard and Laura Iversen.

Survivors include a son, Dick McBride, and wife, Hope, of Encinitas, California; two sisters, Lucille Carley and husband, Marion, of Council Bluffs and Margaret Havens of Sun Valley, California; a brother, Donald Tiarks, and wife, JoAnn, of McClelland.

The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
