In Memory: William Fay Green

Wm. Fay Green, 89, of Council Bluffs died June 8 at home.

He was born May 15, 1915, in Griswold to Clayton M. and Maude Wilson Green. He was an electrical mechanic for Caterpillar Co. for 34 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Southview Bible Church.

Mr. Green and his wife, Patricia (Ayres), were married 48 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Morris Coate.

Survivors in addition to his wife include sons, Tim and wife, Becky, of Underwood, Danny and wife, Jackie, of Jacksonville, Florida; grandchildren, Kimberly Scherer and husband, Jeff, of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Danny Hinsley and wife, Tammy, of Council Bluffs, Jason Lee Green, Joshua Paul Green of Jacksonville, Florida, Clayton Thomas Green of Underwood; great-grandchildren, Kylie Scherer, Katie Lynn and Tyler Hinsley; sister, Martha Burns and husband, Jerry, of Osceola, Missouri; brothers, Andy and Elvina Mouw of Sibley and Ray and Phyllis Green of Mission Viejo, California; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral was held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Dwight Oswald, Southview Bible Church officiating.

Burial was in Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a luncheon following at Southview Bible Church.

Memorials may be offered to Hospice Preferred Choice.
