In Memory: Geraldine McCart

Geraldine V. McCart, 86, longtime McClelland area resident died April 15 at Indian Hills Nursing Center.

She was born June 2, 1918, McClelland to W.R. and Gertrude Davis McCart. She farmed and was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, Amber Star Quick, volunteer at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, loved gardening and needlework.

Preceded by parents, sister Maxine Tiarks, brother, Maxwell McCart and twin brother Gerald McCart.

Survivors include sister-in-law, Jean McCart, of Blacksburg, Virginia; nephews, Roy Turks and his wife, Janet, of Council Bluffs, Doug McCart of Salem, Virginia, and David McCart of Maiden, North Carolina; niece, Barbara Hardell, of Cary, North Carolina; four great nephews; one great niece; one great-great nephew.

Visitation was held Sunday with a Prayer Service at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Graveside services were held Monday, family and friends met at the funeral home for cortege to the Walnut Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Russell, Mt. Hope Church officiated.
