Mary Emma [Cummisky] Thiel (August 16, 1906 - July 23, 1982), 75, of Crescent died Friday at a local hospital following an extended illness.

Mrs. Thiel was the widow of George Thiel who died in 1975. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church and was born in Indian territory now a part of Oklahoma.

Surviving are three sons, Duane of Crescent and Dwight and Donald of Council Bluffs; a brother, Jimm Cummins of Tulsa, Okla., eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Services are pending at Cutler Funeral Home.
