In Memory: Henry Oltmanns

Funeral for Henry William Oltmanns, 77, of Neola, was held Tuesday morning at McCurdy Funeral Home with the Rev. E.A. Hering officiating.

Mr. Oltmanns died November 24 at his residence.

A lifetime Neola resident, he graduated from Beebetown High School in 1942 and later served in the U.S. Marines during World War 11. He was a longtime farmer in the Neola area and a member of American Legion Post No. 330.

He is survived by his wife, Eva. They were married 53 years.

Other survivors include a daughter, Diana Kojas, of Crescent; two sons, Gary and wife, Yvonne, of California, and Alan and wife, Regina, of Neola; a sister, Marie Oltmanns-Miller, of Council Bluffs; a brother, Richard and wife, Pauline, of Daytona Beach, Florida; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family was held Monday evening at McCurdy Funeral Home. Military burial was in the Neola Township Cemetery.
