In Memory: Doris Schneckloth

Doris Jean Schneckloth of Neola, 62, died Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

She was born on August 13, 1938 at Neola, the daughter of Royal and Alice (Iden) Felton. She attended Neola Public School and graduated with the Class of 1957.

Doris married Richard Schneckloth on November 25, 1966 in Neola. They were the parents of eight children.

Doris lived her lifetime in Neola. She worked for Oriental Trading Company at Underwood for a number of years. She was always there for her family and friend and always had a table full of food for anyone who came to visit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Terry Felton; one daughter, Diana Buck; one brother, Royal, Jr.; and two sisters, Alice Mae Graybill and Bette Graybill.

Survivors include her husband Richard; her children, Dennis Schneckloth and his wife Barb of Pacific Junction, Charlene and her husband Rick Lancaster of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Roger Schneckloth and his wife Beth of Neola, Ken Schneckloth of Neola, Tom Schneckloth and his wife Kelli of Minden and Mike Schneckloth of Neola; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren; her sister Lucy and her husband Bob Justen of Minden; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral ceremonies were held at the Neola Presbyterian Church Saturday, October 21 with the Rev. Dean Sparr officiating. Interment was at the Neola Cemetery.
