Richard L. Petersen, age 70, longtime Council Bluffs resident, passed away February 27, 2008.

Richard was born January 27, 1938, and attended Longfellow School. He and JoAnn Humlicek were married on May 12, 1958. Richard was a pressman for The Daily Nonpareil, for forty plus years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn, in 1984; parents, Harvey and Mary Petersen; sister, Eleanor Petersen; and brother, Larry Petersen.

Survivors include sons, Kirk, of Austin, Texas, Kris and wife Tina, of Kansas City, Mo.; grandchildren, Erika, Kevin, and Nolan Petersen; mother-in-law, Wava Humlicek, of Omaha, Neb.

Funeral services, Tuesday, 11 a.m., Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery, with luncheon to follow at Queen of Apostles Church.
