In Memory: Quinton M. Meadows
(January 24, 1912 - April 11, 2001)

Funeral for Quinton M. Meadows, 89, of Neola was held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Neola with the Rev. Dean Sparr officiating.

Mr. Meadows died April 11 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born in Neola and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a mechanic for International Harvester for 20 years and worked on a road crew for the Iowa Department of Transportation. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 330 and the American Legion Last Man's Club in Neola.

Mr. Meadows and his wife, Edith, were married 59 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Mary Lee Koob and husband, Sam, of Council Bluffs and Corrine Minahan and husband, Mike, of Neola; three sisters, Ila Bymer and husband, Galen, of Panora, Opal Rheam of Council Bluffs and Georgia Kuhr of Concord, California; a brother, Dexter, and wife, Lila, of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family was held at Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Burial was in the Neola Cemetery with military rites conducted by Neola American Legion Post No. 330.

Memorials may be offered to the Alzheimer's' Association or the American Legion Post.
