In Memory: Mary I. Christensen Mihaly

Mary Ida Christensen-Mihaly, 82, of Council Bluffs died February 5 at Bethany Lutheran Home.

Mary was born September 7, 1922, in Underwood to Thomas and Mary Pardee Downs.

Mary is preceded in death by her first husband, Valeo Christensen, her daughter, Patricia Bostwick, one sister and three brothers.

Survivors include her husband, John Mihaly of Council Bluffs; sons, Ron Christensen of Parker, Colorado, Tim Christensen of Council Bluffs and Michael Christensen and wife, Mariam, of Underwood; stepchildren, Danny and Sandra Mihaly; two sisters; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

Visitation was held Tuesday evening at Henry-Livingston Funeral Home. A Celebration of Live service was held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church with burial following at Boomer Township Cemetery.
