Allen Ward Murphy, 72, of Clarksville, Tenn., died Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Gateway Medical Center.

Mr. Murphy was born September 23, 1935, in Council Bluffs, the son of Ralph Murphy and Arlene "Orr" Murphy, who preceded him in death. Mr. Murphy was a computer technician with Unisys, a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and received a Veteran's Honorable Discharge for his service. He was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, and the VFW.

Mr. Murphy is survived by sons, Kevin Murphy, of Clarksville, Michael Murphy, of Arlington, Wash.; daughter, Kimberly Fauci, of Patchogue, N.Y.; sister, Alice Murphy; grandchildren, Kaitlin Fauci, Alexander Fauci, Christiana Fauci, Jonathan Fauci, Bryan Murphy, Collin Murphy, Alisha Murphy, and Jessica Murphy.

The funeral was held on Tuesday, at Sykes Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Matt Brown officiating. Sykes Funeral Home, in Clarksville, is in charge of arrangements.
