Leona E. Henry

Graveside services for Leona E. Henry, 87, of Council Bluffs will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Grandview Cemetery in Sidney with the Rev. Patrick Kois of Deaf Missions officiating.

She was born Aug. 19, 1915, in Thurman to William and Edna (Brown) McDaniel. She worked at Lutheran Nursing Home in Omaha for many years before her retirement in 1982.

Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Eteyl Henry; four daughters, Maye Henry, Mary Smith, Kaye Allen and Faye Hart; two sisters, Evelyn McDaniel and Pauline Collins; and two brothers, Ralph and Charlie McDaniel.

Survivors include a daughter, Connie Henry of Council Bluffs; a son, Lonnie "Dean" Henry and wife, Betsy, of Council Bluffs; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Crawford-Marshall Funeral Chapel in Sidney.

A memorial fund has been established.
