Frances E. Osler

Funeral Mass for Frances E. Osler, 86, of Council Bluffs will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Church with the Rev. Chuck Kottas officiating.

Mrs. Osler died Dec. 18 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Council Bluffs to James M. and Stella (Turner) Gorman. She was a 1934 graduate of St. Francis High School. She worked at the Pottawattamie Auto Department from Sept. 15, 1935, to November 1975 and McIntyre Oldsmobile-Cadillac, Inc. Edwards O'Neill Oldsmobile-Cadillac from April 15, 1979, to 2001. She was a member of St. Peter's Church and its Altar & Rosary Society.

Mrs. Osler and her husband, R. Reid, were married Nov. 5, 1948.

Survivors in addition to her husband include two daughters, Diane Howe and husband, Woody, of Phoenix, and Michelle Sheeran and husband, John, of Hiawatha, Kan.; one son, John, and wife, Connie, of Council Bluffs; one sister, Helen Novak, and husband, John, of Council Bluffs; one brother, James Gorman, and wife, Joyce, of Council Bluffs; 10 grandchildren.

Wake service will be tonight at 7 followed by family visitation until 8:30 at St. Francis Worship Center, 238 South Sixth St.

Memorials may be offered to St. Albert Schools.

Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
