Mary H. Ring

Mary H. Ring, 83, of Minden died Dec. 18 at home.

She was born March 22, 1919, in Neola to Michael and Anna (Dahlquist) Matthews. She was a 1936 graduate of Neola High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Neola, its Altar & Rosary Society and American Legion Auxiliary in Neola.

Mrs. Ring was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Dutch", on March 5, 1987.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn McDermott and husband, Dan, of Neola and Sheila Minahan and husband, Charles, of Minden; three sons, Myron "Tom" and wife, Becky, of Neola, Tim of Minden and Nick and wife, Val, of Minden; one sister, Phyllis Ring, of Neola; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Wake service will be tonight at 7, followed by family visitation until 8:30 at St. Patrick's Church in Neola. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Richard Gubbels officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the church hall. Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be offered to St. Patrick's Church or Neola Fire & Rescue.
