Stanley Wayne SUTTON passed away Sunday, September 9, 2007 at the Avoca Nursing and Rehab Center in Avoca, IA. He had attained the age of 82 years, 10 monhts and 12 days.

Graveside services were held on Wednesday, 12 September at 10 am at the Graceland Cemetery in Avoca with Pastor Nancy Nancy Ross-Hullinger as the clergy. Serving as casket bearers were Roger KUBIK, Keith HOLTZ, Charlie RONNFELDT and Lowell YOUNG with Randy MORGENSEN as an Honorary Casket bearer. Interment was held in the Graceland Cemetery in Avoca. Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca was in charge of arrangements.

Stanley Wayne SUTTON was born on 28 October 1924 in Avoca. He was the son of Floyd and Hattie (KLINDT) SUTTON and was one of nine children in the family.

He was baptized at the First Congregational Church. He attended school in Avoca. After school he worked at a butcher shop.

Stan entered the US Army and served his country honorably until December 28, 1948. He then returned to live in Avoca with his sister, Bonnie.

Stan later moved to Cherolkee, IA to work at a dry cleaning business . . . When he returned to Avoca Stan worked for many years as a night cook at The Villager in Walnut, IA. He also worked a short time at the Heritage Cafe in Avoca.

. . . sister Myrna moved into help with his care. He became a resident of the Avoca Nursing and Rehab in December 2004.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ronald, Ralpha and Paul SUTTON; and four sisters, Beulah SPRINGER, Ethel TAYLOR, Ramona SUTTON and Bonnie SUTTON.

He is survived by his sister, Myrna MORGENSEN of Avoca; nieces and nephews; other family and many friends.
