May R. Chollett, 79, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 12 of cancer at her home.

She was born in Pottawattamie County to Emil and Sadie (Clausen) Wilson on Dec. 28, 1923. She previously lived in Pine County, Minnesota and McClelland from 1959-93. She was a laborer for Lucent Technology from 1969 until her retirement in 1988. She was a member of the Lutheran church.

Mrs. Chollett was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin, on Aug. 1, 1987, and a son, Leroy, in 2001.

Survivors include two daughters, Wanda LaFleur and Brenda Elliott and husband, Timothy, all of Council Bluffs; two sons, Kenneth R. and wife, Linda, of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Brian J. of Weston; one sister, Vava Hansen of Council Bluffs; one brother, Lloyd Wilson and wife, Mavis, of Texas; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Prescott of St. John Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery.
