LaDonna Luanne Parish, age 65, of Underwood, left this world, November 21, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer.

LaDonna was born January 24, 1942, to the late Virgil E. and Irene (Kubelck) Turk in Council Bluffs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a member of the Underwood Lutheran Church, Red Hat Society and several card clubs. One of her greatest joys was sharing her love and caring for all the children as a school bus driver with Underwood Public Schools.

She married Donald Marvin Parish on March 27, 1959, in Treynor, Iowa, and to this union 2 sons were born.

She was preceded in death by sister, Beverly Jo Turk; brothers, Larry Milton Turk and Wayne Allen Turk; sister-in-law, Beverly Ravnsborg; brother-in-law, Francis Wise.

LaDonna is survived by her husband, Donald Parish; sons, Clinton Parish and wife, Denise, Keith Parish and wife, Julie, all of Underwood; grandchildren, Paul Robinson, Dillon Robinson, Lance Parish; siblings, Virgilene Koenig of Council Bluffs, Edward "Buzz" Turk of Underwood, Gordon Turk and wife, Rosanne of Loveland, Colo., Connie C. Wise of Avoca, Iowa, Karen Larson and husband, Dave of McClelland, Iowa; in-laws, Arlon and Brenda Parish of Las Cruces, N.M., and Dwight Ravnsborg, of Pisgah, Iowa; aunt, Bernice Woltmann of Avoca; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation with the family Sunday, 3-5 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services Monday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Eberhard Hering pastor of Underwood Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment at Memorial Park Cemetery with a lunch following at the McClelland Hall.

The family will direct memorials.
