Madeline J. Clausen, age 76, of Council Bluffs, passed away November 23, 2007, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Madeline was born April 8, 1931, in Neola, to the late Albert Holzfaster and Leta (Ring) Holzfaster Burke. She attended St. Joseph High School in Neola and graduated from St. Francis High School, Council Bluffs in 1949. Madeline was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and it's Altar and Rosary Society.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell R. Clausen in 2006, and her father, Lynn Burke.

Madeline is survived by cousins, Joyce Holzfaster Barrier and husband, Arlen, Jean Ann Casson and husband, Terry, John H. Holzfaster and wife, Susan, in laws, Marguerite Hickman and Caryl Moore and husband, Larry, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation with the family, Sunday, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a lunch following at the parish hall.

Memorials to the church preferred.
