Ferril V. Shreeves

Ferril V. Shreeves, 79, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 5 at Alegent Health Mercy Hospital.

He was born in Dunlap to Myron and Gertrude (Blackman) Shreeves. Prior to moving to Council Bluffs in 1980, he resided in the Magnolia and Dunlap areas. He was employed as a laborer at the Omaha stockyards and for area Magnolia farmers.

Survivors include his twin sister, Florence Stephens of Council Bluffs; three other sisters, Eleanor Clanton of Aurora, Colo., Barbara Baxter and Donna Minard and husband, Ed, all of Council Bluffs; one brother, Russell and wife, Jenna, of Turin; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Roger Prescott officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
