Vernon L. Hemiller

Vernon L. Hemiller, 54, of Council Bluffs died Dec. 4 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born Aug. 17, 1948, in Council Bluffs to Norman G. and Rosine (Nibbie) Hemiller. He was disabled. He was a former general laborer. He was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Hemiller and his wife, Debra "Debbie" (Coffelt), were married Jan. 6, 1978.

Survivors in addition to his wife include two daughters, Tara Hemiller and husband, Ron, and Jami Hemiller and husband, Jeff Plambeck, all of Council Bluffs; one son, Tony Hemiller, and wife, Kristi, of Council Bluffs; eight sisters, Delores Rudolph, Shirley Franks and husband, George, Lona Rocz and husband, Jack, Carolyn Good and husband, Lee, Jean Ivey and husband, Frank, Jeannette Wyatt and husband, Mike, Gladys Armine and husband, Doug, and Barbara Ortega and husband, Manuel, all of Council Bluffs; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Chapel. The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Syl Adkins and Jack Rocz, deacon, of Walnut Grove Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Garner Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be offered to Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
