Michael S. Stranathan, age 52, of Council Bluffs, passed away October 30, 2007, at the Hospice House in Omaha.

Mike was born August 9, 1955, in Council Bluffs and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1973. He was a union electrician working out of IBEW Local #22.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Helen and father, Wendell.

He is survived by his brother, Dan Stranathan and wife, Patricia of Kansas City, Mo.; sisters, Karen Cowan of San Ramon, Calif. and Vicki Maynes and husband, Jim of Trimble, Mo.

Visitation with the family, Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Service, Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery with a reception following at First Baptist Church. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
