Pamela Sue Meek, age 51, of Avoca, Iowa, passed away October 24, 2007, at her home in Avoca.

Pamela was born January 16, 1956, in Council Bluffs to Marvin W. and Lovina "Tudy" (Thorp) Watts. She married Dennis Meek on January 22, 1972, and to this union 5 children were born. Pamela was a homemaker and a writer. She loved riding horses and loved peacocks. Pamela was a member of 4-H for 19 years, Council Bluffs Kennel Club, Shelby Trailblazers Saddle Club and Niche Home School Group.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin W. Watts in 2000; son-in-law, Theodore Riskowski.

Pamela is survived by her husband of 35 years, Dennis Meek of Avoca; daughters, Sherry Riskowski of Des Moines, Shanell Meek of Avoca; sons, Steve Meek and wife, Amy of Avoca, Chad Meek and wife, Lisa of Atlantic, Cory Meek and fiancée, Danielle Brotherson of Avoca; mother, Lovina "Tudy" Watts of Council Bluffs, 8 grandchildren; Tait and Tailor Riskowski, Kyia, Devin, Alexis, Jocelyne, Reilly and Jadyn Meek; sisters, Kim Shuput and husband, John of Omaha, Sandra Dugger and husband, Russ of LaVista, Neb., Debra Bellows; brothers, David Watts and wife, Stephanie, Thomas Watts; grandmother, Violet A. Thorp-Davis, all of Council Bluffs; many "adopted children", nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family, Sunday, 6 to 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Funeral service, Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the mortuary with Rev. Bob Thompson, pastor of Church of Freedom officiating. Interment, Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a lunch following at Church of Freedom.
