Benna Neels, age 84, of Nebraska City, Neb., formerly of Council Bluffs, passed away October 22, 2007, in Lincoln, Neb.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Clarence Ward Engle; and nephew, Dan Fahrnbruch.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah L. Neels, of Nebraska City; sister, Margaret Louise Fahrnbruch, of Lincoln; two special nieces, Rebecca Kay Brayman-Lawyer, of Lincoln, and Cheryl Ann Owens, of New Ulm, Texas; special friend, Laura Hansen, of Nebraska City; other family and friends.

Open visitation, Thursday, 2-8 p.m. Services will be held Friday, 3 p.m., at the Gude Mortuary, in Nebraska City. Burial will follow in the Wyuka Cemetery. Gude Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
