Genevieve G. Evans Elias, age 80, of Council Bluffs passed away October 18, 2007, at Bethany Lutheran Home.

Genevieve was born November 16, 1926, in Rumsford, S.D. to the late David K. and Lillie M. (Johnson) Gallagher. She graduated from Hot Springs, S.D. High School in 1946 and attended Rapid City, S.D. School of Business. Genevieve was the bookkeeper at Selden Realty for many years and was the manager at Club 64. She was inducted into the Council Bluffs Bowling Hall of Fame and was a member of the Center Bridge Club.

Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband, George S. Elias in 1990; sisters, Evelyn, Margaret and Dorothy.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Falknor and husband, Darwin "Doc"; sons, Douglas Evans, James Evans and wife, Lou Ann, all of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Heather Feekes, of Hawarden, Iowa, Oliver and Tony Falknor, both of Council Bluffs; great grandchildren, Dylan, Evan, Sara, Landon, Brycen, and Keagan; brother, Harold Gallagher and wife, Wylda, of Lenox, S.D.; nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service, Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. A lunch will follow at Bayliss Park Hall. Memorials are suggested to Odyssey Hospice, Make-A-Wish Foundation or Bethany Lutheran Home.
