Leon D. "Skip" Jay, Jr., age 50, of Neola, Iowa, passed away October 20, 2007, at his home.

Skip was born November 30, 1956, in Council Bluffs, to the late Leon D. and Arlene E. (Zogg) Jay, Sr. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, in 1975. Skip worked for Bluffs Beverage, Norm's Sewer and Water, Key Real Estate and Ring Transfer. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, in Neola, Bluff City Masonic Lodge #71, and Shriners.

Skip was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Wilson, and two brothers, Don and Larry Jay.

He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Jay, of Council Bluffs; son, William Jay, of Neola; sisters, Glenna Gallagher and husband Tim, Kay Jay, all of Council Bluffs; brother, Frank Jay, of Glenwood, Iowa; nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews.

Masonic service, Wednesday, 6 p.m., followed by visitation with the family until 8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill- Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service, Thursday, 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with Rev. Sara Jensen officiating. Interment, Cedar Lawn Cemetery, with a lunch following at the McClelland Town Hall.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Burn Hospital.
