James L. Huff, age 85, of Council Bluffs, died Wednesday, October 17, 2007, at the Oakland Manor, in Oakland, Iowa.

James was born June 26, 1922, in Phelps City, Mo., to Clarence and Ida (Bailey) Huff. James served in the U.S. Army during WWII. James was married to Ruby Marie Rowe, in April of 1946, in Omaha, Neb., and to this union, in 1948, twin daughters were born. James lived in Council Bluffs and was employed as an Iron Workers for over forty years, and belonged to the Iron Workers Union Local #21, for sixty-one years. Ruby passed away April 30, 2005.

James was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby; four sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include his twin daughters, Margie Eyerly and husband Charles, of Carson, Iowa, Linda Fields and husband Jack, of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, John and James Greise, Angela Thoms, Jackie Greguska; nine great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Logan Memorial Chapel, in Logan, Iowa, with graveside services to follow at Bethel Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post 5266 and O'Hara Seeley Post 6256.
