Bud Bryant (1934-2007)

Mr. Bryant, age 73, of Trenton, Mo., passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Kansas City Hospice House, after a faithful and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Silver City, Iowa, on June 6, 1934, Bud was the son of the late Ronald E. and Adelphia Childs Bryant. He was raised and educated in Silver City, Iowa. Bud served in the United States Army for 2 years. Bud worked in the trucking industry for several years and then became a self employed auto body technician for 21 years.

He retired in 1997 and moved from Underwood, Iowa to Council Bluffs, Iowa, and lived there until 2000. In 2000, he moved to Trenton, Mo., to be with his fiancee Mary Etta, where they enjoyed being each others companions and working together in an antique business in Jamesport, Mo.

Buddy was an outgoing, fun-loving, big-hearted, faith filled individual, and those who knew him loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed.

Buddy is survived by his fiancee, Mary Etta; Roger and Deisy, son and daughter-in-law of Mary Etta, from Missouri. His children, Ron and Kelly Bryant, Keith and Stacie Bryant, Tammy and Mark Rollins, all of Council Bluffs, Iowa. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; Amber and Justin Welch, Ronnie Lee Bryant II, Jake Bryant, Josh Bryant, Ashlyn Rollins, Gracie Rollins, Trenton Bryant, and Christian Welch. Also surviving is his sister, Charlene Kirlin; 1 nephew, Harry Kirlin; 2 nieces, Kathy Herbransen and Linda Young.

Preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Carroll Kirlin.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 15, 2007, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Claude Maddox, pastor of Heartland Harvest Ministries, will officiate. Interment will be in the Silver City, Iowa Cemetery, where graveside military honors will be provided by VFW Post 737. A luncheon will follow at the Heartland Harvest Ministries, 700 So. 7th St.

The family will direct memorials.
