Irwin I. Stone, age 91, of Glenwood, Iowa, passed away, in Council Bluffs.

He was born in Macedonia, Iowa, and graduated from Glenwood High School, in 1933. He served in the Army National Guard, for 25 years. He was a farmer, then worked at Peter Kiewit, for the City of Glenwood, and the Glenwood Resource Center, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Eagles, the Bowling League, and the Horse Pitching Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marjorie Stone, in December of 2006; daughter, Kristie Henderson; 6 sisters; and 1 brother.

He is survived by daughter, Karen Sloup and husband Joe, of Pocatello, Idaho; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Duane Stone and wife Marge, of Glenwood; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and a host of friends.

Visitation with the family will be held Sunday, October 14th, from 7-8 p.m., at Peterson Mortuary. Services will be held Monday, October 15th, at 10 a.m., at the mortuary. Burial at Glenwood Cemetery.

Memorials to First Baptist Church, Glenwood Public Library, or Mills County Historical Museum, or charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers.
