Harriet Bartel Petersen, age 80, died peacefully in her sleep Sept. 27, 2007 at her daughter's home in Lake Tahoe, Nev.

She was born July 19, 1927 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to G.A. and Clare Christopher Bartel.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Dr. Robert Bartel; sister, Helen Bartel Tighe.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Kasey) and son-in-law, Richard (Dick) Munden; sister, Janet Hogshead and Howard; brother, G. Arthur Bartel and Colleen; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Oct. 27, 2007 at Indian Rocks Beach, Fla., where she has resided for the last 35 years.
