Elaine C. Parish, age 72, of Council Bluffs, passed away Ocober 3, 2007, at Creighton University Medical Center in Omaha.

Elaine was born April 26, 1935, in Council Bluffs to the late Holger J. and Esther (Allen) Jensen. She graduated from Little Sioux, Iowa High School in 1953 and married Warren V. Parish on May 14, 1955. To this union two children were born. She and her family moved to Council Bluffs in 1957. Elaine retired in December of 2005 from the medical records department at St. Joseph Hospital after 25 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren V. Parish in 1977.

Elaine is survived by her daughter, Sandra R. Marcil and husband, William; son, Ronald L. Parish, all of Omaha; 6 grandchildren; twin sister, Marilyn Hunter and husband, Bill, of Little Sioux; sister, Karen Sullivan and husband, Dan, of Albuquerque, N.M.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation with the family, Sunday, 2-4 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral service, Monday, 1:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery with a lunch following at St. Peter's Church Social Hall. Memorials to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association preferred.
