Kenneth C. Malick, age 63, passed away September 28, 2007, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Ken was born October 17, 1943, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Harold and Nell Wolfrom Malick. Ken graduated from Lewis Central High School in 1962 and attended Northwest Missouri State University. Ken served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, and returned home and married Barbara Hanafan on September 5, 1970. A member of the Council Bluffs Fire Dept. for 30 years retiring May 8, 2005, as a Captain. Memberships include St. Patricks Church, American Legion, Omaha Executives Assiociation, Elks Club where he served as a trustee. Ken also owned the Appreciated Advertising Company and was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Jane Delehant, and brother, William.

Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara; daughters, Melissa and Michelle; sons, Brad, all of Council Bluffs, Kevin and wife Sharon of Omaha, Neb.; grandchildren, Katelyn and Samuel. Sister, Kay Talbott of Raymore, Mo., brothers, James and wife, Beverly of Council Bluffs, Robert of Big Lake, Mo.

Visitation will be Monday 5 to 7 p.m. with prayer service at 7 p.m. at St. Patricks Church. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday 10 a.m. also at Church. Father David Fleming celebrant. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery with military rites at the grave. Luncheon will follow at Queen Of Apostles Church.

In lieu of flowers family suggest memorials to Michelle Malick Scholarship Fund.
