Glenne P. Morford, age 92, of Council Bluffs, passed away August 16, 2007 at her home under the care of Hospice and her loving family.

She was born January 1, 1915 in Thurman, Iowa to the late George A. and Mary Myrtle (Rickabaugh) Boyd. She attended high school in Bartlett, Iowa. She moved to Council Bluffs area in 1942 and retired in 1975 from Mercy Hospital.

Glenne was preceded in death by Fay, her husband of 52 years; son, James; infant daughter, Shirley Morford; 3 brothers, Dale, Ralph, and George Boyd; and 4 sisters, Helen Boyd, June Kephart, Phylis Gilson, and Wilma Fasnscht.

She is survived by daughter, Sharon McDowell; 2 sons, Merrill and Richard and wife, Norma Jean, all of Council Bluffs; 14 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 22 great great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Monday August 20 from 6-8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services Tuesday August 21 at 11 a.m. also at the Funeral Home. Rev. Roy Pruett officiant. Interment Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Luncheon to follow at American Legion Post 2.
