Dorothy Carrick (December 3, 1927 - August 14, 2007), age 79, of Oakland, Iowa, died August 14, 2007, at the Oakland Manor.

She was preceded in death by husband, Vern Carrick, in 2004.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Joyce Sharp, of Des Moines, Iowa, James Carrick and wife Becky of Oakland, Julie Davis of Nevada, Mo.; sister, Gladys Betts, of Whittemore, Iowa; brother, Eldon Huston and wife Jodie, of Des Moines; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family is having an open visitation on Saturday, August 18, 2007 anytime after 10:00 a.m. at the Carrick home, at 835 Palmer Street, in Oakland.
