Howard D. Good, age 71, of Council Bluffs, passed away August 14, 2007, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Howard was born August 22, 1935, in Silver City, to the late Russell and Opal (Dorsey) Good. He served in the US Navy for 21 years during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Howard worked as a cook for Lil' Duffer in Red Oak, Sam's Hamburgers, Pettit's Pastry in Omaha, Ameristar Casino, and No Frills Grocery.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Maxine and Florence.

Howard is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia A. (Reel) Good; sons, Dale Good and wife, Julie, Mark Good and companion Deb, all of Council Bluffs, Jeffery Good and wife, Leigh Ann of Sycamore, Ill.; grandchildren, Cory Mass and wife, Kristen, Timothy and Collin Good; sisters, Ruth Jenkins of Springfield, Mo., Linda Christensen and husband, Charles of Avoca; brothers, David Good of Stockton, Mo., Lonnie Good and wife, Nancy of Lee's Summit, Mo.

A Celebration of Howard's Life will be held Friday morning at Emanuel Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Rick Blodgett, Pastor will officiate. A lunch will immediatley follow.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
