Kathryn A. "Kate" Moss, 73 years, Council Bluffs, passed away August 14, 2007, at a local care center.

She was born in Treynor, Iowa, to the late Rapheal and Louise (Johnson) Neary, she was a 1952 graduate of Treynor High School.

On October 20, 1956, she was united in marriage to James L. Moss and they made their home in Council Bluffs since then. Kate was a homemaker, and a member of Saint John Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Clark Neary.

Survivors besides her husband, include her daughter, Kelly Gerhardt and husband, Henry, Council Bluffs; sons, Jimmy Moss, wife, Nicole, Kansas City, Mo.; Tommy Moss Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Henry, Brianne and Kristen Gerhardt, Brandon, Dani and Eric Moss; brother, Bernard Neary and wife, Mary, Audubon, Iowa; sisters-in-law, Sondra Neary, Atlantic, Iowa; Florence Moss, Columbia, Mo.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harvey and Berniece Moss, Macedonia, Iowa; nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., Rev. E. Jon Benson, officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, 10:15 a.m. at the funeral home for the cortege to the Macedonia, Iowa, cemetery for graveside services at 11:00 a.m.
