Dorothea M. Thomas, 91, of Glenwood, passed away August 4, 2007 at Glen Haven Home in Glenwood.

Dorothea was born in Bristol, Colo., and graduated from Emerson, Iowa, high school then attended cosmetology school for a year. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Pythian Sisters, Eastern Star (where she served as Worthy Matron), United States Daughters of 1812, Colonial Dames and Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was married to Eliot Thomas for 37 years, till his death in 1976.

She is survived by her son, James A. Thomas and wife, Marilyn of Glenwood; brother, Charles Lakin of Omaha, Neb.; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, 6:00 to 8:00p.m at Peterson Mortuary. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 9th at 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary with Pastor Steve Frazee officiating.

Memorials are suggested to Indian Creek Historical Society or First Baptist Church.
