Howard Edward Downing (Eddy), age 54, of Council Bluffs, passed away July 24, 2007, at his home.

Eddy was born November 28, 1952, in Omaha, to Clarence Howard and Anna P. (Horn) Downing. He worked as a locomotive mechanic.

Eddy was preceded in death by his father, Howard Downing.

Eddy is survived by his children, Timothy Downing, Michael Downing and companion, Jennifer Dudley, Kevin Downing and wife, Beth; mother, Anna Downing; grandchildren, Deyon, Austin, Grace, Sebastian, Tara, and numerous family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home, with private family inurnment in Otoe, Iowa.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
