Old Settlers in Polk/Warren

FREEL, LANDON, PHILLIPS

Looking for stories and information on families of Benjamin Phillips, William Phillips, David B. Landon, Wesley Harrison Freel, Charles W. Freel, James Benjamin Freel. They all immigrated from Ohio, Indiana, Missouri to Polk/Warren Counties just before or by census of 1850. Some lived in Richland, some lived in Hartford. Several Phillips are buried in Black Cemetery. Looking to merge the phillips into a big family in addition to Ruth Landon who may be their sister. They appear to be from Ohio. How did these people come; did they form wagon trains, come by water; are there any stories about this.
