We know that the widow of Dr. Jospeh Eugene BRITTAN, Mavis (Hayden) moved to Des Moines, Polk County and bought a house there at 1320 6th street for 1929 and 1930 -- she disappears after this. Does anyone have access to real estate/property sales? Perhaps it would indicate that she sold it while living elsewhere?
Her son Howard E. also came with her and was a student at least in 1930 even though he does not appear on the 1930 census as living with his mother Mavis. As Howard was born circa 1907 and was 23 in 1930, what college in Des Moines, Polk Co. might he have been attending as a student?
