Beverly R. Wilson, age 88, passed away at Regency Care Center in Norwalk, Iowa, on August 25, 2011. She was the daughter of William and Rosa Yeary of Conception Junction, Missouri. She graduated from high school and moved to Des Moines to live with her sister. She met Floyd Wilson and they were married in 1946 and were married 65 years.
Beverly was employed by Farmers Casualty - Mutual where she worked for almost 20 years as supervisor of the claims secretaries. She loved to play cards, travel, bowl, and dance. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Des Moines for over 50 years, a member of the Builders Sunday School class, Ladies of the Builders.
She is survived by her husband Floyd "Bud" Wilson; niece, Elva Lou Timmons of West Des Moines; and nephew, Bill Yeary of Kansas City, Missouri. One sister and two brothers preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m., Monday, August 29, at McLaren's Chapel followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Entombment will be at Resthaven Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the First United Methodist Church.
