Dennis Hoefle, 41, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Iowa Methodist Hospital. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012, at Lutheran Church of Hope (925 Jordan Creek Parkway, West Des Moines, IA). Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lutheran Church of Hope. Burial will be in Ankeny Memorial Gardens.
Dennis has taught and coached the Boys High School Varsity Tennis in Ankeny since the fall of 1995, he was currently teaching 6th grade Social Studies at Prairie Ridge Middle School. He was a member of Lutheran Church of Hope Ankeny. He directed the Ankeny Park and Recreation and Ankeny Boosters tennis clinics each summer for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Val Hoefle and their sons, Brody and Callen, mother, Jerri (Jim) Wilson of Des Moines, IA; sisters, Sara (Tom) Ackert of Sioux Falls, SD; Bonnie (Greg) Broge of Lena, IL; twin sister, Jennie (Dave) Henry of West Des Moines, IA; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Gusloff.
